Activating Your Disclosures Page

To activate your Disclosures page follow the steps outlined below or watch the video:

  1. Log in to your PatientSites web editor
  2. In the menu on the left, click on "For Patients"
  3. On the list of your For Patients pages, click on the "edit" link to the right of the Disclosures menu item at the bottom of the list
  4. On the Disclosures page, add your content by typing or pasting text into the main content area
  5. Click the green "Save" button between adding content so you don't lose any of your work
  6. If you want to upload a .doc or .pdf file, just to the left of the content box is an area with a blue link that reads, "add new media file". Click that text
  7. From the "Add new" drop-down, select document, then click the "Choose File" button
  8. Select the .doc or .pdf file from your computer. Once you have selected it and are back at your web editor, click the "go" button
  9. Your newly uploaded file will appear under the "go" button you just pressed
  10. Move your cursor onto your content area and click where you want the link to your document located
  11. Under your document, click the green "+" icon and enter the label of the link (this is the text that will be highlighted as a link to open the document you uploaded
  12. Save your page by clicking the green "Save" button again
  13. Make your page visible to the public. Above your content area is the word "Display". Make sure the box following the word "Display" is checked. Once it is, Save the page.
  14. Finally, in the menu on the left, click on "For Patients"
  15. On the list of your For Patients pages, click on the empty box to the left of the Disclosures menu item to make it visible, then to the right of that line, find the grey disk icon and click it to save your changes
  16. Check your public website to see if your page is now visible under your For Patients menu
